oobleck, my sweet lover...

...where have you been all my life?

Am I seriously the last to know that Oobleck is the most awesomest funnest thing ever? What planet have I been living on?

Oh, sweet and gooey non-newtonian fluid you! Oobleck, we had so much fun playing with you today. I've never seen Csilla so totally engrossed with something in my entire life. She must have played with you for an hour or more. It was heaven. Csilla was even overheard saying: "I'd like to do this every day!"

Oh, Oobleck, you are my new best friend!

And for those of you who have no idea what the heck I'm talking about, Oobleck is the wonderful gooey substance you get from mixing approximately 2 parts corn starch with 1 part water. Click this link to find out more. This is what it looks like all mixed up all fun and drippy:

Awesomeness!

Yes, I may be afraid to show Csilla's face on this blog, but gosh-darn-it, I'm not afraid to show her adorable little hands.

Booyah! Take that perverts!

Oh my goodness, this post just brought back SO MANY MEMORIES! We totally played with OOBLECK as kids. I loved it! We even had a 6th grade teacher challenge us to make an aircraft that could land on a planet made of this stuff! I should totally get it out for my kids to play with. I'd forgotten all about it. Oh and btw, I love your comment to the pervs in the world! BLAST them all!!

Sorry, it's me again. . . I posted a comment about your dream. . . can you tell I'm not wanting to go to sleep. I don't want any more bad dreams. It's only 2 am here. OH well. I just need to go private sooner than later to help my mind be somewhat more at ease. :) Sorry to comment the crap out of your blog tonight. I'm chatty!

Even at my age, I'm still fascinated by the properties of corn starch and water! I had no idea it was called OOBLECK though!

Csilla is having so much fun! I love the pictures. (In an adult, parental, non-pervy sort of way.)

I've never heard of this stuff - but as it's Easter Holidays I will be printing this off immediately...

Now that looks like some gooey goodness. I have never heard of that before either. OOBLECK. We use to call it something different. Now I think it is almost my pancake batter. I swear. She looks like she is having a blast. I love how the simple things in life are the funnest. Hope you have another messy day together. Thanks for sparing the pervs.

Lovely gooey pictures! I love my VSC badge - and I really would love to give one to Menopausaloldbag who loves to spin a yarn and has been far too quiet recently. Maybe a lovely badge would encourage her!!

Carolyn - just been over at RC's "researching" my answers!! I really thinks she deserves one of your VSC awards. See how generous I am with your stuff! :) I just wish I was clever enough to think them up myself.

Our house looks like that most of the time...and we've never even made oobleck.

Thanks Carolyn - let's see if MOB and RC pick up a logo. The challenge has been issued.

Hi, I have come along to pick up my 'jeeze I am a big bullshitter and gobshite logo!' I will be honoured to dsplay the logo to warn off any potential readers who don't have an hour or two to read my blabberings!

Great blog you have here and my are you a prolific blogger - I on the other hand am a lazy auld eejt that gets caught up in breaking toes, catching potenialy lethal virus's and generally going through the menopause and as such forgets to blog! Thanks to old softinthehead for the suggestion I pop by!

I read your story about your fall from the bike. You win! I was laughing and cringeing at the same time! It felt my face scrape along the ground in the way you described it - I'm sytll cringeing now!

Why am I just now finding out about Oobleck? My kids would have loved this when they were younger, though y daughter still might.

It looks like so much fun!

How do you design such logo's? I agree with the mutual addy society - could be good fun. I can see a whole new development opportunity coming along - now if only I knew how to develop some artwork.....

But as you can see from previous posts I have the typing skills of a monkey on speed what with all the typo's I leave around the place.

Why have I just discovered it now when my kids are "older" and I am supposed to "know better"?

And Csilla has beautiful hands. ;0)

Caroylyn-I think Oobleck is outdoing the Irish post. Keep it messy is the key I guess.
