As for me, I'm heading to my kitchen to throw away a while bunch of plastic stuff that could give Csilla boobs before her time.

we called Avent this morning. yup - it ALL has BPA. recycle #7 - the worst.
check out their website and they STILL claim it has no harmful effects.
part of me thinks these people are no better than tobacco companies, yet they make BABY BOTTLES! wtf.

SO glad you're spreading the word about this! And GO CANADA. I read that you guys pulled all BPA items from the shelves. Not so lucky here.
I had tons Avents around the house but stopped using them when Donald was around 7 months because I kept reading and reading and reading more and more warnings about it. I decided to NOT wait for my govenment to step up. We went to glass bottles, then when I stopped nursing/pumping, we went to the "Born Free" line...all BPA free.
And not to freak you out even more, but generally, I avoid heating ANYthing in plastics. If it's a frozen meal, I transfer it to a plate before zapping. That's why I love the "Amy's" line of (organic) foods. Don't know if it's available in Canada, but they do not use plastics in their packaging. Plastic scare me!
When this news broke this week, I passed it along to my 2 mommy groups...sadly, not very many girls seemed too concerned...probably b/c our government still has yet to take a stand on this.
