a fairy tale about a thoughtful queen and her delightful gift.

Once upon a time, there was a bored stay-at-home-mom a glamorous Princess who lived in a dark basement suite in an exotic castle. She loved to make new friends through her blog her magic box.

One day, the Princess sent a package via royal courier to a new friend she had made in the U.S. in a neighbouring kingdom. It was full of treats that the new friend loved, but could only be found in Canada in the kingdom where the Princess lived.

The new friend {Crazy Lady on Road 80} and her daughter {Miss Mattie} loved the package of goodies so much that they sent a return package to the Princess; a thoughtful and amazing gift full of love and kindness.

[Perfection!]

The package contained everything the Princess would need to survive the Spring the rest of the cold, dark winter in her Kingdom.

[Spring in a can!]

It was just what the doctor ordered and made the Princess smile. (Available from this adorable Etsy shop.)

[Funky push pins!]

Which made the Princess feel inspired to create something beautiful! (Also available at dandeedesigns.)

[Yummy treats!]

Which filled the Princess with joy. Especially the bite sized Charleston chews, which the Princess loves with a passion. The young mini-Princess Csilla, loved the chocolate bar so much that she couldn't even wait for pictures to be taken before eating a piece.

[Flower lamby!]

The young mini-Princess Csilla squealed with delight when she saw this adorable little stuffed friend, which has been by her side ever since it arrived.

[Happy Spring to you too!]

The perfectly suited Littlest Pet Shop Pet is Csilla's new favourite. Especially because the Princess can't get this one in Canada in her kingdom. Csilla was particularly thankful to Miss Mattie, who probably had a hand in the selection of this little sweetheart.

And finally, the most important thing the wonderful friend in the neighbouring kingdom sent was a piece of her spirit:

[The Book of Mormon.]

The Princess loved this gift most of all, because it proved that her new friend believed she had a warm and open heart and knew the Princess was interested in learning and exploring new things. The gifts, and the book especially, told the Princess that maybe her new friend was more than just a simple gal, but perhaps the Queen of her kingdom.

And the Princess was very grateful to her new friend for her kindness. The glorious package was everything she needed to live happily ever after.

The End. [record scratch]

And the two princesses decided to stop waiting around for gifts from their princes, and they gave gifts to each other. And they lived happily ever after.

The End.

[Edit - Thanks to the brilliant Jennifer for the much better, wish-I'd-thought-of-that ending.]

(ps - if I'd known free stuff was involved in blogging I would have started this a long time ago!)

I can't even hardly type because I am so full of gratitude and actually crying my eyes out. Your such a beautiful person in that huge heart of yours. Iam beginning to think that you and I are going to be friends for a long time. What a way to write about a budding friendship. It was delightful for both Miss Mattie and I. So glad that you enjoyed the goods. We sure did.

How lovely. Blogland is full of lovely people, isn't it?

I love Charleston Chews, too. One of my absolute favorite candies from childhood.

Who doesn't love two happy endings? Yours is perfect, you know. But I love that you added the other one, too. You're a sweetheart. :-)
